Transaction Reports Overview

Transaction reports are SKU-based reports that use credits and debits to record transactions on SKUs.

The Transaction Reports tab does not have a dashboard, but rather is a list of several reports.

Some additional information relevant to understanding the information in the Transaction reports includes:

  1. credit is a value going from the merchant to the customer or 3rd party (such as a refund).
  2. debit is a value coming from the customer or 3rd party to the merchant (such as a payment).
  3. True accounting calculates P&L at the time of the transaction occurring. For this reason, Transaction reports are preferred by accounting departments over Sales Reports as the true per-month/time period income and expenditure are reported.
