Replacement Products are products with a separate inventory that could be used to replace another product that has no available quantity to pick.
Replacement Products are commonly used when building kits to orders where certain components can be switched for another while still maintaining the integrity of the product being sold to the customer.
Another common use is for upgrading your customer to a better version of a product, like a phone with more storage, when it still meets the minimum profit you are looking to make on a certain listing.
When an order is on a picklist with an available replacement product, your team can view the replacement product’s location and availability by clicking on the “Scan Replacement” icon.
From here you can scan and pick the desired replacement product for the order.
If your team does pick a replacement product, the order will be automatically updated based on the product that was picked and inventory reserves will be updated accordingly once the order has shipped.
