The last way to build new Purchase Orders in Sellercloud is through our “Predictive Purchasing” tools to help forecast what you need to order based on your demand.
You can access “Predictive Purchasing” in the Purchasing Module from the Tools drop-down.
Once on the “Predictive Purchasing” page, you can start adding your filters to get your purchasing forecast.
The two required fields are “Days Of Order” and “Days To Order”.
Days Of Order – The number of days you want to look back at your order history to calculate a daily velocity on a certain SKU.
Days To Order – Using the daily velocity, Days To Order will calculate the amount of inventory needed to be purchased (QTY TO ORDER) to meet the current demand.
By clicking the blue “v” to the left of the SKU you are forecasting, you can pull up a detailed view to take into account seasonality and out-of-stock days when forecasting.
You can set “Blackout Days” and customize your forecasting based on your SKU-specific sales history over a 365-day period.
Using the details provided in the “Predictive Purchasing” report, you can either use the forecasted “Qty To Order” or edit the “Qty To Order” before creating the new Purchase Order.
Once ready to create the Purchase Order, click the blue “Actions” button at the bottom right of the screen and select “Add to PO” from the menu.
From here, you can either add the “Qty To Order” to an “Existing PO” or create a new Purchase Order by selecting “New PO.”
