API stands for Application Program Interface. It is a way for Sellercloud to communicate directly with certain marketplace websites/applications. Each marketplace using this integration method will have a unique API.
An API connection with a marketplace is usually the most difficult to develop but often provides for the least number of interruptions in the connection and is the fastest way to transmit data. Sellercloud is not integrated with all channels via API because not all channels offer the option to connect via API.
For these types of connections, the integration can be as simple as retrieving a token from the marketplace, which will allow us to connect to the account via API, but is sometimes more complex.
Some examples of retailers that use API integrations include eBay, Walmart, and Amazon.
